Project overview.

Sapiom builds the infrastructure that lets AI agents run reliably in production. I came in June 2026 to own content ahead of their Series A. The scope grew into standing up the company's entire communications function: positioning, narrative, website copy, earned media, social, internal comms, and a two-person team.

Challenge.

There was no comms function. No locked positioning, no press infrastructure, no measurement, and seven competing labels for the same category. The Series A date had already moved three times, and the launch film in production was not going to clear the bar. All of it had to be built and shipped inside twelve weeks.

Result.

Sapiom announced a $35M Series A on August 5, 2026 behind a Semafor exclusive, landing 67 placements and 167.7M UVM across The Information, Fortune Term Sheet, Axios Pro, WSJ Pro and others. I killed the stalled launch film, sourced and closed a replacement vendor in a day, and shipped the finished piece in five. Organic search went from 39 sessions in the 28 days before launch to 3,223 in the 28 days after. By September I had built the PR operating model the agency still runs on, brought on two contractors, and delivered a charter defining what comms owns at Sapiom and how it gets measured.
